Dusk original artwork by Deb Cavanagh

Acrylic on canvas 900 x 1500

In the heat of the summer we would leave work on Friday and for some
cool relief drive to Yungaburra on the Atherton Tablelands (Djirrabal
and Ngadjonji country).

After climbing the Palmerston Highway from the coast we would reach the
plateau at dusk. The cool air washed over us as we watched the sun
dipping below the horizon and the headlights from an oncoming car
blinking in the far distance.

Many layers of cool reds, blues, and lemony yellows, work together to
give this painting its perspective and  atmosphere.
